Kaleido

The pop-up flea market of IIMA, ‘Kaleido’ is a compendium of designers with an entrepreneurial instinct and a desire to make it big in the creative space. It is a unique amalgamation of the age-old Indian tradition of Flea markets with the B-school erudition to produce a magical extravaganza, wherein one experiences the fun of shopping in a “Bazaar” within the hallowed walls of the IIMA campus.

Social Impact Award

We are pleased to announce the Social Impact Award in association with Tata Trusts, our title sponsor. While the Constitution of India promises free healthcare for all, it is a well-known fact that especially for the lower income group, quality healthcare remains a dream. However, there have been major contributions by individuals and organisations, making the situation better for millions across India. The Social Impact award aims to recognise the effort of such people.

Innovation Playground 

 

Innovation Playground is set up to provide a platform for transformation of grass-root and futuristic innovation ideas into identity and sustainable businesses by providing them access to financial support from big corporates, knowledge support from industrial stalwarts and a professional management lens. We strongly believe this process would enable:

  1.    Promotion and facilitation of social entrepreneurship among students.
  2.    Sensitizing students to become socially responsible business leaders.
  3.    Working alongside exceptional grass-root innovators and social enterprises to enable them to refine their ideas, scale their enterprises, and finally enable creation of sustainable real- world impact.

It will be a distinguished gathering where students from the leading B-schools will pitch their plans to convert a product idea into a business reality, and corporates and other eminent jury of TRBS will evaluate the ideas for becoming next big thing in India. In its inception year, Innovation Playground is set to create history of being a unique ecosystem translating grass-root ideas into reality.

Innovation playground will host “innovation runs” which will seek participation from people with diverse background. Innovation run will involve development of marketing, operations, finance and strategy components of Business plans of the innovation ideas.

The Red Brick Summit 2017 has conceptualized a “one of its kind” marketing research initiative based on concept of “Disguised marketing” which seeks to gain insights into the consumer’s perspectives/needs through intelligently designed games to overcome the ‘Sensitization Effect’. The Red Brick Summit is expected to gain 20,000+ eyeballs in 4 days of event which makes it only platform in India to complete unbiased market research in a very time efficient manner.

Event Format

Live marketing research projects provided by our esteemed clients will be floated among students of IIM Ahmedabad who will form a team of 5. Teams are expected to make a pitch document explaining the games designed by them to engage survey respondent and collect necessary data points. Each team will also provide “Data analysis Plan”.

Deliverables

Teams will be carrying out a secondary analysis to gain the persepective of the market and design a questionnaire survey. This survey will be approved by the client followed by data collection at TRBS. Each team will use modern marketing research analysis tools to analyze complex problems of current world.

Yugpurush: Mahatma Ke Mahatma – a Hindi play 

Commemorating 148th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji and 150th birth anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandraji, IIM – A proudly hosts YUGPURUSH, a heart-touching and riveting portrayal of the profound spiritual relationship between Shrimadji and Gandhiji. Experience Gandhiji’s internal and external journeys unfold under the inspiration of his spiritual mentor. Yugpurush highlights the values of expanding one’s capacity to love and give selflessly, respecting diversity, supporting truth, fostering trust, and building lasting communities. It brings to the forefront a powerful experience of looking within, upholding truth and fearlessness, as well as transforming character and consciousness.

Finesse, the Fine Arts Club of IIMA, presents Hope Box. The stall where the IIMA community sells its art. And the stall where an underprivileged child’s dreams are given flight. All funds raised will be donated to Prayaas.

Joyous, energetic, passionate, wild and lots of fun. These are some of the words that have been associated with The Music Club of IIMA. Having members that come from diverse regions and backgrounds, they’re musical influences are just as diverse and interesting. So put on your dancing shoes and prepare for a wild mix of rhythm and melodies as the Music Club pumps up your adrenaline with their performance at TRBS.

IIM Ahmedabad Cultural & Theatrics Society (IIMACTS)

Easter Egg: 60-hour Filmmaking competition” will be held during The Red Brick Summit. The competition provides you with an opportunity to unleash that hidden videographer inside you and boast of your talent to the entire world.

The films are to be shot inside the IIMA campus during the fest and length of the film should be between 4-6 minutes, including Introduction and Credits. 

The theme for the competition will be announced after the fest’s inauguration ceremony. The film shall be judged on the following aspects:

  • Premise/ Concept
  • Script
  • Characters (Acting)
  • Cinematography
  • Editing
  • Use of theme and genre

Team size should be between 1- 6 (Including the cast and the production team). The registration fee for the competition is INR 100. Participants can pay through Paytm to 9406500581 (Nikhil Gupta). Teams can register by filling this form. Please ensure that you enter Paytm Transaction ID in the space provided in the form.

Winners will have a chance to win Prizes worth INR 5,000 !
